whats up with hoys?!?!

I admire those of you who are able to blog at a consistent basis. I wish could do that.  Well life with Hoys have been fantastic!

Jackson just turned 6 months yesterday. He is on the verge of crawling. He keeps getting on his knees then feet. his personality is starting to come alive and he is just charming.

Zack is a character. He is talking in sentences more these days. Its fun to have a conversation with him. He also is so polite. I don't know where he gets it.

Zack has loved his big brother roll. He always lets me know when Jackson is crying and wants to provide comfort when he can.  He also is always willing to get one of Jackson's toys and bring it to him. Jackson loves being Zack's brother. He is always watching him and wants to move as fast as he does.

Jeremy has been working really hard this summer with work. I am very proud of him. He loves working for his brothers and is constantly thinking of new ways to help the company grow. But even with his hard work he has been putting time aside to take his family to disneyland and other fun activities. In just 3 short years I have gotten a wonderful husband, 2 incredible boys, a great house and millions of blessings. I just wish I could take more time to blog it all.

Jackson

We got an early surprise early Sunday morning. I started leaking and we decided to go to the hospital to get checked out. I totally didn't think that we would come home with Jackson. I have been trying to convince the doctors for weeks to bump up our C Section date. I have been measuring about 4 weeks then I was. So when I was measuring at 42 weeks and still having to wait 2 weeks until the baby, I was at the end of my rope. I was tired and achy and HUGE. So it was such a wonderful surprise that Jackson was on the same page as I was and said he was ready to come. We got to the hospital around 630 and 1104am we held our new son.

Jackson Ervin Hoy 8 lbs 8 ounces

We love the addition to our family. Zack has so far enjoyed being a big brother. He always wants to hold Jackson and give him a kiss.

Our trip to DC

Well instead of trying to catch up on the 6 months of absent blogging, I figure I would just start from where we are right now and hope to keep up on it.

Early November we went to DC for our family vacation. It was a trip that I had been looking forward to for a long time. One because it was going to be our last big vacation for a little bit. With Jackson coming soon we figured our family trips were going to be little and farther apart. And second DC such a special place to me because I served my mission there.

Here are some pictures of the highlights on the trip.
This is the Flight 93 Memorial in Shakesville PA. It took a while to get there and there were just about to close when we finally arrived. It was a great site. I learned some more interesting facts about that day and it was nice to remember these brave men.
We took a hop on and off tour bus to see DC. It was really good to take us around everywhere. Between Zack and me 6 1/2 months pregnant, we tended to slow the day down if it wasn't for the bus.
Zack was a trooper through it all.
My favorite spot was Mt Vernon. I served there for 9 months but never visited it. It is where George Washington's house was. A beautiful site that I wished we had more time to see more of it.
Well that's it for now. Hopefully I can get some post about our holidays and especially in Feb when we finally add Jackson to our family.

Zack is 1!

Zack turned one this past week and I just can't believe how fast that went. I never believe when people would tell me that it will go by in a blink of an eye. I remember holding him when he was weeks old and not knowing how to put him down so he won't cry thinking this is the rest of my life, carrying my son. My son is such a character. He is playful and a jokester (not sure where he got that). He is always smiling and seems to be really happy to see me which always makes me feel like I am the most important person. I love you Zack. Thanks for making my life better!

Always have a camera ready

We have to have a camera on this kid all the time. He is at an age where his little personality is coming out. This video is us having a yelling match. It was so funny. Sorry there is the Cobsy show on the in background. I didn't realize how loud it was until I saw the video. But I think you can get the idea of it.

Here Zack was learnig to wave bye bye to Jeremy and has had it of Jeremy saying bye bye for the 500th time that he went crazy and crawled in circles.
