Jeremy and I went Bates Nut Farm this weekend. He has been wanting to go for a while and I have never been so we made a day of it. It was alot of fun to see all the animals and check out the pumpkin patch. We are excited to go back and get a pumpkin for Halloween.

I love time with my family
Even though we are all in the same state finally, the fam and I don't get together that often. I am usually busy with so much stuff, my parents are involved in their various activities and my brother is working hard in his Navy Seal training. So when a chance comes to have dinner with everyone I take the chance!

Belmont Park
Jeremy and I went out to Belmont Park tonight to ride the Big Dipper roller coaster. It is an old roller coaster that jerks you a little bit on the turns. But it was fun. I hadn't been there in a while.

Me with a gun, what a scary concept!
It really didn't matter how I did just how cute I looked in the glasses and head sets. Mission accomplished!

Padres win a game! (yes you are reading that right)
I haven't been to many padre games this year because well they suck this year. But my friend invited me and I can't say no to a padre game. It ended up being a great game. It was against the Dodgers. The rival fans came down for the game so every play there was a mix of boos and cheers. It was great and we won 4-0!! The best part was me getting to wear my padres jersey I got for my birthday.

Remembering 9/11
What a day to remember. I read some thoughts from follow friend bloggers about 9/11 and it got me thinking about this day and what an impact it made on me. I was in Provo at the time and the Relief Society President, which I had no idea what in the world I was doing. I went every sisters apartment in our ward and just check in to see how they were. It was just the start of a new school year and I didn't know many of the sisters at all. I was touched deeply by the sisters' spirits that day. I learned more about what it meant to be apart of such a great organization and country that we can have compassion and loyalty to each other in time of need. I was also preparing to go on a mission. I was thinking about all the places that I could go to. I had a feeling I was going state side. I wanted to go to New York or DC. A couple months later I got the call to serve it the DC South Mission. How touching it was to be at the site where the place crashed into the pentagon and also where the plane crashed into the lands of Pennsylvania. Also to talk to those that were in the middle of it. I hope to kindle the spirit of patriotism and compassion more like we did then.

On the Red Carpet
My friend invited me to a party with her on saturday night. I just thought it was a regular party no big deal. Turns out it was the launch party for the CW 90120 that channel 6 San Diego was having. So I got to walk the red carpet and mix and mingle with the hollywood lifestyle. It was amazing! It would have been better if the cast got invited. Long story! Bu I did get to meet all the news anchors at the station and learn alot more about how the tv industry works. It was fun and definitely something to remember.

Story Time
So it was your typical Labor Day. I had to work but I got off a little early which was nice. I decided to be a do a couple things that I have been putting off for a while. First I went to the gym and signed up for a stupid membership. I have been meaning to resign up for a while. Yes that is resign up! this time is different. This time I am actually going to use it. What a concept. Well the next things was at the mall. I decided to pierce my ears. So there I stood in line with like two other 8 year olds in front of me with their moms. I think there were wondering where my daughter was that was getting her ear pierced. Oh little did they know that it was actually me. And of course the chair for the piercing was right in front of the store window so as I was sitting there waiting for it to happen everyone in the mall could see the 27 year old getting her ears pierced. Also the lady just happen to have other things she had to do in the middle of my piercing, leaving me there sitting in this chair longer! But I did it! I am surprised I even had the gut to go through with it.

Yes on Prop 8
Last saturday I went out with other members of our ward and went door to door to talk about proposition 8. For those of you who aren't in California, Prop 8 is on the voting ballot this year and if passed will protect marriage between a man and a woman. It was amazing to go and talk to people about how they feel about families. Alot of people didn't even realize that this was going to be on the ballot this november. And there were others that still were for traditional marriage. It gave me hope to see that the important values of families is still in the minds of some Americans.
